Based on the famous Playstation video game, the The Last of Us deck of playing cards features many memorable aspects known to the game. The color palette of the cards take inspiration from the forests and natural environments the characters are often seen trekking through. Face cards are decked with the enemies of the video game, also known as stalkers, clickers, bloaters and most infamously, the rat king as the joker. All four suits represent a weapon that the player can use to defend themselves, like, a health kit, arrows, molotov and bricks. The ace card displays the symbol of hope throughout the post apocalyptic game, the Firefly mark. Lastly, the backs of all the cards display the main character’s moth tattoo.
